When we bought our condo six-years ago, there was a GE Supra Ibox (Realtor lockbox) attached to a balcony rail outside of our unit. I've got the S/N, but, take no idea who the realtor was that attached the box and so abased it (It has previous (replaced) keys to our unit).

I would similar to unshackle the box and/or open and reuse it, but, I practise not have an 'ekey(?)' -- I've seen some detailed instructions on UTube, but, these seem more than complicated than I can follow (plus require additional hardware).

Any thought how to get rid of this box ... or possibly fifty-fifty reprogram/re-use information technology every bit a primal-holder for our electric current keys? = Cheers

You lot might try calling your local MLS. They tin can check to run into who the listing agent was and contact him or her. To remove it, you or they need an eKEY and a shackle code. If the MLS can't assistance, you'll probably need to cut it off.

Aye, call the MLS... There is a serial number on it. It's registered to someone.

You won't likely exist able to apply it... You have to be an agent and MLS member to have a Supra account to open it, but you ought to be able to get someone to get it off of at that place.

If you want to take the selection of a lockbox, there are other kinds or combo locks you tin can get.

not worth trying to reuse information technology. Call the local realtor office and ask if they'd like to come by and verify the possessor and go them to remove it (a search of your condo address online might show an agent attached to a previous list), or just contact your condo association and ask if they'd like to cutting information technology off since they probable 'own' the railings.. If that fails, only cut the shackle off and toss it, pick up a box that fits your needs for future use

Most likely culprit is the list agent when you bought. Telephone call her banker (at the time). Battery is probably dead, though.

Six years later and you want information technology removed? Find someone that owns giant bolt cutters or rent them. So ask the strongest person you know for help cutting it off. Supra central holders aren't made to be easily removed. That would defeat the safety in using them.

The boxes are expensive. If the agent was still in business, southward/he would accept been back for the box.

My brokerage provides lock boxes to our agents. My previous brokerages did the aforementioned. Agents change brokerages all the time and information technology'south not very difficult to see how a lock box could be accidentally misplaced when there's no personal interest in getting information technology back past the amanuensis and there's poor record keeping by the brokerage.

In my area, mls rules require lock boxes be removed inside 48 hours of closing.. There'southward a potential fine of $500 to the listing agent if that isn't done. Definitely call the local mls.

New Bluetooth iboxes are virtually 125 on my area & used ones still accept value, just you wouldn't be able to utilise the ibox yourself without a monthly subscription. Nosotros changed from the non-Bluetooth iboxes several years ago & the non Bluetooth iboxes have no value.
